Searching in ConnexionPress F2 to search. ![]() The Connexion Search Worldcat window allows you to search several ways. Command Line SearchingThe most command command line searches are long titles and subtitles.

Keyword/Numeric SearchThis works much like the searching in many of our databases. You enter the data, select the category for that data from the drop-down list, and combine as necessary. Limited Keyword/Numeric SearchYou can combine Keyword/Numeric Search with limits (but NOT Command Line).
One of the most common searches is by ISBN.
To search by title, enter one word of the title per box and then select Title from the drop-down menu. You can also combine it with, say, an author (Personal Name). Example: "How to" by John Passell is difficult to search because of the common opening words.
Editing the OCLC RecordSee the configuration instructions for details on setting up Connexion.
Constant DataConstant Data is a set of data which automatically fills in the record, to reduce repetitive entry. Following the setup of the icons, it is possible to create constant data records, edit them for the latest use, or delete them. Use the Constant Data icons to create and apply Constant Data:

Example: for an typical book record, the code would be: Exporting the OCLC RecordOnce the record has been edited, it can be exported from OCLC Connexion to the Library's Millennium system. If necessary, it may be edited further there. Use the ActionExport icon. ActionExport should cause a popup window to show the status of the export.
