Staging (Test) Directory for OPAC
The top section (from the date/open line up) is actually the "toplogo" (top logo) file, which will appear on all pages. It can be changed as we desire WITHIN THE LIMITS IMPOSED by the web committee. The bottom section (botlogo) is the line just above the gray links bar on down.
When we get a new design for our TWIKI pages, we should see if we can consider putting a uniform header on all our pages, so the transition is transparent to the user, but all the library pages are kept together.
Logos Only page
NOTE ABOUT THE DATE: this is just for demo work, so I do NOT update the hours, holidays, etc. on this page -- only we see it. It does not affect the correct hours/holidays on our current catalog pages.
The breadcrumbs line at the bottom on down is the "botlogo" (bottom logo) file, which will appear on all pages. It can be changed as we desire. Due to variations in the css as I work, the fonts tend to change in this part. I'll fix that before we finalize the botlogo.
Browser Stats
REMEMBER: We have WebPAC Pro, which many other III libraries do not. It radically affects the look of the OPAC, but we MUST have it for future features. It is still evolving. Meanwhile, it may actually be next to impossible to achieve certain "looks" that you see on III catalogs elsewhere. Look for examples with the WebPAC Pro copyright at the bottom to see what actually can be done.
To affect the look of the catalog, I now must check settings in the system, the webpub.def file, the HTML page itself, and several cascading style sheets to figure out why something looks the way it does. In addition, some other libraries are NOT on turnkey systems, and use additional software to affect the look and use of their III catalogs. Plus, of course, the differences in versions of IE, and other browsers.
